Airkewld Air-ride - kits and prices
Air Management system (AMS) kit available in either 2 or 4 valve
2 valve AMS will allow you to lift the front, up and down, and the rear up and down.
4 Valve AMS will allow you to control each corner of the vehicle (front and rear up and down and also side to side). The 4 valve AMS has a huge advantage - this AMS will allow you to corner around corners really well and lessens the need for camber compensators or sway bars.
Front air sleeve shock kit, king and link pin (some welding required)
This kit contains: DOM internally threaded torsion spring replacements (this will allow the front end to move freely and rely on the Air Sleeve Shocks solely), Airkewld's air sleeve shocks, upper shock mounts, fittings, hardware & instructions. This kit will give roughly 12 inches of travel. It also gives you an independent front suspension. This means that only one side of your car will now react to a bump in the road and not the whole vehicle.
Rear airbag kit, swing axle (weld on)
This kit contains: Upper airbag mounts, Continental airbags, Doetsch Tech shocks, Billet Lower cantilever control arms-HIEMED, Hanger mounts & links, Stainless Steel hardware, fittings, hardware & instructions. Templates to modify existing spring plates.
Welding required.
Front air sleeve shock kit, ball joint (bolt on)
This kit contains: DOM internally threaded torsion spring replacements (this will allow the front end to move freely and rely on the Air Sleeve Shocks solely), Airkewld's air sleeve shocks, lowered ball joints, delrin bushings, fittings, hardware & instructions.
This kit will give roughly 8 inches of travel. It also gives you an independent front suspension. This means that only one side of your car will now react to a bump in the road and not the whole vehicle.
Rear airbag kit, IRS (weld on)
This kit contains: Upper airbag mounts, Continental airbags, Doetsch Tech shocks, Stainless Steel hardware, fittings, hardware & instructions
Welding required.
Bolt on Rear Kit
Drill 12 holes and notch your spring plates and it is done! This kit is designed for higher horse power cars but can even work for the 25HP.
The kit is designed around the swing axle cars Beetles, Ghias and Type 3's. On Split Window Beetles, custom shock mounts are needed.
Not included in the kit but are recommended to purchase are the polyurethane spring plate bushings made by EMPI or Bug Pack. This kit can work with a narrowed or lifted transmission as well. Slight mods needed. This kit WILL allow you the use of your heaters, but each car is different so slight mods could be needed.
The kit contains the following; 2 bags, 2 shocks, 2 lower bag mounts (Laser cut, bent and welded), 1 upper cradle (this goes under the transmission, jig welded for accuracy) hardware, fittings & templates.

Upgrade your kit to bolt on rear, for an additional £275.
